Gail Jennings
Owner: Kings Pepper

Gail Jennings has been a member of  WE Power since 2019.  As a board member at large she looks forward to helping women as they navigate the many challenges to growing a sustainable food business, including her own.  She is the owner of King’s Pepper, a spice blend company that she started in her hometown of Los Angeles, California.  She believes in the mission of WE Power and feels the road to sustainability would have been much easier for her had there been such an organization for her to turn to for resources, referrals  and advice when she started.

She attended 8 years of night school, sometimes with her two daughters in tow,  before completing her undergraduate degree in communications from California State University at Dominguez Hills in Carson, California in 1985. She has called on the same grit and determination it took to achieve that milestone many times since starting her food business.  In her senior year of college she applied for an internship and was offered a job instead.  She worked in television production at ABC-TV for nearly 20 years.  During that time she worked on many television shows and specials including the Olympic Games,  General Hospital, the Academy Awards, the American Music Awards and later worked on the NAACP Image Awards.   Gail has lived in Durham, NC since 2012 and reestablished King’s Pepper in 2015 .
