MEET ANNETTE COUNCIL
Owner of
Sweet Neecy Cake Mixes

I grew up in Chapel Hill surrounded by a family of cooks. My grandparents built their BBQ restaurant in their backyard in the early 1960's. Which was allowed since their house sat in the business district of our town. As a young girl, watching this take place was such a rewarding experience.

This is when I was introduced to baking,g helping my grandmother make sweet potato pies for the restaurant.

Later on in the 1970's, my parents took over the restaurant as my grandparents began to age. At this time, I got the opportunity to learn how to run a business, especially the accounting aspect.

Now that I have my own company, Sweet Neecy cake mixes, it has led me to join WePower Foods to become a board member and to join in with other women entrepreneurs to learn even more from others.
